This is an interesting concept to understand that often seems to be on the other side of the coin to the stereotypical “good”.
I don’t want to get on the wrong side of this, but it’s worth noting that this is a lot like a spy game. You have to understand the dynamics of these people and be able to use that information in order to help them. I don’t know if this is an accurate analogy, but it’s a good one nonetheless.
A good analogy would be a spy game. You have to have complete knowledge of the people around you in order to be able to help them. Even if you’re not really a spy, you would be able to tell if someone you know is being honest, or a spy. A good spy can tell if there is a leak, or if there is something going on that they don’t want anyone in the know to know.
The term “intelligence” in the context of a “covert operative” would imply that they are doing things so that they dont become “clones.” This is actually a valid definition but I am a bit lazy. If you dont know what I am talking about, let me know and I can do a better job.

A covert operative is a person who is undercover, or who is hiding. The people who are undercover would be people who get paid by the day to run covert operations, or those who are undercover as agents of a particular organization. The person who is undercover is not the same person who is an actor. That person is in hiding, and has no knowledge of what is around them.
The problem is in most cases, no one knows what the covert operative is. But when you look at it from a human or a machine perspective, it makes sense. A covert operative is a person who is not seen by the public, but they have a very specific job. A person that is running an covert operation is hiding that person from the public (in order to protect themselves).
The problem is people think that they are covert operatives because they are hiding something. But that is not always the case. It is possible to be a covert operative in a way that is not hiding. This is an example. A covert operative may be involved in an organization that is just an organization, a secret, or just a group of people who are friends.
This is an example of just an organization that is an organization. The secret is in the organization. The group of people that are friends may be at the same time a secret and a group. The group of people that are friends may be just a group of people who are friends.
The Secret (in this case, the organization) has been compromised in a way that is not obvious to all. This can be a very good thing. If the secret is compromised, but not the group, then the organization may be back in business. If the secret is compromised, but not the organization, then the organization could be completely destroyed.
