Not only does it make it easier to run a game because you don’t have to pay someone to help you, but it makes it much more fun to play. It also makes it easier to get in trouble for killing your character. For example, I once played a game where I ended up in a lot of trouble for killing my character’s friend’s character.
They are a big part of the reason I love games so much. There is no reason to play a game and not want to be able to interact with your characters. The only times I ever play a game and I actually dislike the characters are when they are stupid or annoying, but even then, I dont give them too much thought. At the end of the day, its just a game.

So if you are a gamer, you need to be able to interact with your characters.
