You can also buy niobium in your own home. I know that Im not talking about the niobium found in niobium mines, which are also used in aerospace. Im talking about the niobium found in niobium batteries.

niobium is used in high energy batteries used in smartphones, cellphones, laptops, and medical equipment. The reason why it’s so expensive is because its rarer. To make up for the difference in price, people are putting a lot of effort into trying to make it for defense companies.

Well, to be fair they’re only putting effort into making it for defensive companies. The military has a lot of money to spend on expensive equipment, so it’s not like it’s a bad thing. I mean, it’s not like the military doesn’t have good equipment. So, I don’t know, it doesn’t seem to be a bad thing for the military to be making stuff for themselves.
